Construction Remains on Track at both Corsica and Comino
Construction remains on track for both Corsica and Comino with significant progress on the works at Comino and activity at almost every level of Corsica.
COMINO CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
There has been significant progress on the works at Comino, with much of the activity happening below ground level.
The under-slab drainage has been completed for half the basement, and the second half of these works will be completed during the next two weeks.
The first of the blinding slabs has been poured and is ready for the installation of the steel reinforcing to commence.
The lift overrun and stormwater tanks have been sheet piled and are ready to be excavated. The associated pour will happen by the middle of August.
Work will soon begin on the basement slab pour – 1500 cubic metres of concrete will be poured in four sections, with two of the four sections to be completed by the end of August.

CORSICA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
There’s been activity at almost every level of Corsica. The structural steel to the roof is almost complete, and the roof sheeting has a planned completion date of mid-August.
External finishing trades will begin on Level 6, and the scaffold will start to drop as each level is completed.
Internal trades are progressing very well, with Level 5 fully framed and roughed in. Plasterboard sheeting is set to commence this week.
