February 2024 Construction Update for both Comino & Corsica
It’s certainly a very exciting time at The Cove with more residents set to move into their new homes at Corsica in only a few weeks and milestones continuing to be reached at Comino.
COMINO CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Milestones continue to be reached at Comino. On Level 2 the concrete slab is poured entirely with Level 3 pour one scheduled for December 21st. In the basement, mechanical duct and plumbing rough-in has commenced.
A great deal can happen in a short period and that’s certainly the case at Comino. This month will see the first half of Level 5 and the Level 4 deck completed. Here’s how it’s going to play out.
On Levels 1 and 2, the focus will be on framing and services rough-in and windows and door sub-sills. Also on Level 1, sheeting to internal walls will begin.
On Level 3, it will be formwork stripping, while on Level 4 will also be formwork along with concrete columns and blockwork.
On Level 5, there’ll be columns and blockwork too, as well as a partial deck concrete pour.

CORSICA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
With settlement now scheduled for early April, a lot is happening inside Corsica. The final quality checks and finishing works are underway on Levels 1 and 2, while on Levels 3 and 4, it’s only the mirrors and curtain tracks that need to be installed.
On Corsica Level 5, it’s all about timber floor sanding and sealing – and it’s looking great. On Level 6, the painters are in, and the stone and tiles are going down.
There’s plenty of activity outside too. Levels 1 and 2 are being rendered. The last of the scaffolding is being removed and spot rendering is happening where the scaffold bracing was in place. External screens will follow, and landscaping is due to begin at the end of February. Coping on the pool perimeter is going in now.
We will continue to keep you up to date as construction progresses and gets closer to our new anticipated April 2024 settlement date.
